Dear Parents of Machine Pitch A's,
We had fast, fun, five-inning game last Saturday which gave us a 15 - 3 victory over the Braves. With the season half over, we lead the league with four wins and no losses!
Our girls and boys are doing great with batting, running, fielding, and with showing good sportsmanship on the field. They will need all of these, as in the next three weeks they will face the three toughest teams in the league. Our kids need to be ready, as these teams will not be easy to beat.
Our game this week will be on SUNDAY at 1:30 p.m. on Lower Field #1. We play against the Orioles, a tough team that we have never played against. Rain or shine, be sure to be there, as it will be the day we take our Team Photograph. Make sure your child is dressed in T-shirt and cap, as we do not have any extras.
I still need a volunteer to bring snacks on Sunday.
See you there,
Todd Kerns
P.S. The final three games of the season will all be on Saturdays, but the times will vary:
Saturday 24 May 9:30 - 11:30 rematch against the BrewersSaturday 31 May 11:00 - 13:30 rematch against the Devil RaysSaturday 7 June 9:30 - 11:30 rematch against the Red Socks (End of Season Barbecue and Awards Ceremony at Rosinka to follow play).

May Day
Dear Parents of Machine Pitch A's,
We had a great game last Sunday, with a 17 - 0 victory over the Red Sox. We were helped by the Holiday Weekend Schedule, as many of the Red Sox' best players were absent. They will have a chance to even up the record when we meet them again on June 7. For now, though, our Athletics continue to lead the Machine Pitch league, thanks both to solid hitting and some remarkable fielding. Mert is headed for a "Golden Glove" award from his place on the pitcher's mound. This week, our game will be on Saturday morning at 9:30, so please, don't let your girls and boys stay up all night watching the fireworks. (We have a great view from our 20th story apartment, which, by the way, is for sale....) We will be playing against the Braves. I have only had one of the Braves at our SW Moscow batting practice, and he hit almost every ball pitched to him, so let's be ready for a tough game.
Play Ball!

A's 7 - Rays 4
After a tough and intense game, the A's won yesterday's game against the Rays 7-4. A great game was played by all with some kids new to baseball getting their first "live" hits. A big thank you to Tracy for the cupcakes and juice.
Todd will send out a mail later this weekend as a reminder for next Sunday's game. But you can check the schedule in a previous post below for game time. Remember its a work day so traffic may be heavy. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive. We may try to get there early to have some fielding practice.
Thanks again to Mr. Solnick for the pictures. If any of you have any more pictures or videos email them to me at rosinka2008@yahoo.com and I can post them here.
